Vitamin B12 | Do Vitamin B12 Shots Have To Be Intramuscular? Can They Be Injected Subcutaneously ?
November 20, 2011 – 9:26 amA family member of mine who is a retired nurse has been giving my grandmother vitamin B12 shots for a while and she has very little muscle and it’s a pain each month to find a good place with muscle. We have tried major muscles, but I was just wondering if it can be given subcu. since another family member of mine said it could, (she’s a nurse) and said it would be absorbed faster, but I’m not sure if it would last very long. Thanks in advance!
Yes B12 should be IM.
Yeah, in the butt is fine
same difference as lasting as in the veins
